Why the name Snowdon Oak?

Snowdon Oak was created from the heart — built on family, creativity, and a love for making one-of-a-kind pieces.

My maiden name is Snow, and in our family, it ends with me. I’m the last Snow to carry on the name, and I wanted to find a way to honor that legacy — especially my dad, who meant the world to me.

I knew I wanted “Snow” in my business name, but I didn’t want it to feel seasonal. I wanted something timeless — something that could grow with me and fit many creative paths.

My dad’s name was Don, and it’s also my middle name. By blending Snow and Don together, Snowdon was born — a way to honor both my family name and my father in everything I create.

-But I wasn’t done yet.

When I started thinking about my brand, I wrote down the words that describe my work and my heart:

Creative

Whimsical

Unique

One-of-a-kind

That’s when it clicked.

O.A.K. — One Of A Kind.

And just like that, Snowdon Oak came to life.

Beyond honoring where I come from, Snowdon Oak is also about where I’m going — and who I’m building it for.

As a mom, I want to leave something meaningful for my kids & grandkids. Whether this business grows into something big or simply remains a beautiful chapter in our story, my hope is that they’ll see what it looks like to work hard, create boldly, and follow a passion.
